Get ready to rev your engines and raise a glass—ETX Brewing Co. is hosting its first annual Pintwood Derby sponsored by StoneWater Roofing, a one-of-a-kind event where speed meets sips in downtown Tyler. Taking place on July 19, 2025, this all-ages event blends the nostalgia of pinewood derby racing with the laid-back charm of a craft brewery gathering.
What to Expect:
Attendees can look forward to a day filled with creative racing, good food, cold beer, and fun. Participants will race custom-built pintwood cars down the track for glory, bragging rights, and prizes.

Rules & Regulations
All cars must pass the following inspection to qualify for the race:
- Width shall not exceed 2-3/4 inches.
- Length shall not exceed 7 inches.
- Weight shall not exceed 5 ounces.
- Wheel bearings, washers, and bushings are prohibited.
- The car shall not ride on any kind of spring.
- The car must be free-wheeling, with no starting devices.
- No loose materials of any kind are allowed in the car.
Race Day Check-In
July 19th 4:30m – 5:15pm
- Racers will be required to check-in on race day within the time frame above
- You will present your car to be inspected
- Any car that does not pass inspection will be able to make adjustments to the car as long as you are able to “re-check in” within the alloted time frame
*Entry fee money goes towards cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place

Slow and steady wins this race. The Safest Driver award goes to the slowest, most cautious racer on the track — the one who puts safety (and hilarity) first. This isn’t about speed… it’s about style, strategy, and maybe just a little bit of last-place glory.
